“Each man should frame his life so that at some future hour fact and his dreaming meet.”-Victor Hugo

“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”-Eleanor Roosevelt

Good evening SQers! It has been a couple of weeks since I have written and for that I apologize. I went to a conference and then got overwhelmed with the task of reintegrating back into my routine. But i’m back in case you missed me 🙂

I have always wondered what the real purpose of dreaming was. Sure sometimes it can be pretty entertaining or on the opposite side of the spectrum scary. Maybe it is your mind’s way of working things out and reorganizing them. But what about the dreaming that happens when we’re awake? We are so quick to dismiss our dreams as nothing more than idle projections of our subconscious. Sure maybe the dream of falling really doesn’t have all that much meaning, but what about the ones that contain our deepest wishes and desires?

There is an inherent value in following the prescribed path and being able to succeed. That in itself takes a lot of dedication, motivation. What distinguishes from one another is not just how well we follow convention and direction, it is what we dream and desire.  Your dreams, desires and wishes drive you. They have the capacity to make you happier and more fulfilled than you have ever been so why spend so much of your time trying to ignore and stifle them.  Instead live with the intention to incorporate them into everything you work for and do on a daily basis. Hopefully someday the Hugo quote will become your reality as your dreams and reality start to match up.

No dream is too big unless you yourself put walls up trying to contain it.  Have the courage  to deviate from the plan and veer off the course. Write good ideas down when they come to you and hold onto them (you never know when they will be useful). Most importantly, life is too fragile and too short to live with regret so go after your dreams. You owe it to yourself to at least give yourself the chance.

That’s all for now. Hope that wasn’t too clichĂ© for your taste. Have a fantastic week!

See you next Sunday,

❤ SQ
