R.I.P. J.D. Salinger

January 28, 2010

I also as many other people was sad to hear of J.D. Salinger’s death. In honor of the incredible author he was I thought it would only be fitting I include some of my favorite J.D. Salinger quotes even if it is uncharacteristic being in the middle of the week.

“What really knocks me out is a book that, when you’re all done reading it, you wish the author that wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone whenever you felt like it. That doesn’t happen much, though.”      -The Catcher in the Rye

“The most singular difference between happiness and joy is that happiness is a solid and joy a liquid.” -Nine Stories

P.S. I also hope you are having a good week. I just thought I should let you know that I’m adding a ideas/suggestions page. So check it out and if it appeals to you email me about future posts.

That’s all for now. See you Sunday!
